Yoga
This class focuses on flows, poses & breathing to improve flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness. Bring your own sticky mat.

SilverSneakers - Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Free for members of the SilverSneakers Fitness Program.

Water Exercise
Improve muscle tone and aerobic capacity while having fun. Cushioned full body workout. Need not be a swimmer.

MS Water Exercise
Great for those with MS, fibromyalgia, arthritis, or other limitations. Range-of-motion, strengthening and stretching. Need not be a swimmer.

Deep Water Exercise
A suspended cardio and strength workout. Participants need to be comfortable in the deep water.

Yogalates
Combine the practices of yoga and Pilates for a total mind/body workout. Bring your own sticky mat. Collaborative with VRMC.

Get Real Weight Management
Spring 2010 session: March 8 - May 28 (12 weeks)
This program is designed to help adults develop healthy nutrition, diet and physical activity habits. GET REAL guides adults through the often difficult beginning steps of changing behavior related to food and exercise. Recruit a friend or your spouse and do it together! An assessment is required before registration. Contact the Member Services Desk to schedule an assessment with our program coordinator.

Trim Kids
Spring 2010 session: March 8 - May 28 (12 weeks)
This weight loss program teaches families how to lead a healthier lifestyle by making better nutrition choices, focusing on family fitness, and changing behavior. All classes include exercise activities and classroom learning. At least one parent must attend with their child. An assessment is required prior to registration. Contact the Member Services Desk to schedule an assessment time.

Junior High Weight Training
This course teaches young teens the importance of weight training and how to safely use all the equipment in the YMCA's fitness center. Class meets once a week for 4 weeks. Contact our Fitness Coordinator for more information. YMCA members only.

Homeschool Gym & Swim
For area home schooled children. YMCA staff will lead age-appropriate actvities in the gym and pool.
AGES: 5 - 17 years

Home School Physical Education
A program aimed at older home school youth in the area. Topics are flexible according to interest. May include group sport skills, life sports, weight training, fitness classes and swimming activities.

Y Tri - Indoor Triathlon
Saturday, February 27th 1 - 5pm
The perfect event for first-time triathletes or anyone looking for a challenge! Participants will swim, bike and run (15 minutes each), trying to complete the greatest distance possible during each event. Awards will be given to the top finishing male and female individuals and male, female, and coed teams. Information and registration forms will be available at the YMCA and online by January 25th.
